35th Annual Christmas and Candlelight Music Program – SWARK Today

(WASHINGTON, Ark.) – Join the staff at Washington State Historic Park for its 35th annual Christmas and candlelight Christmas taking place on December 10-11, 2021. You and your family will marvel at the natural beauty of the city-lit streets candles. you walk through our historic village. Decorations, music and more set the mood for your historic vacation experience. The houses of yesterday are adorned with period decorations and thousands of lights will light up the streets of the city. Tour locations will open at 1 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. Lighting and music programs will begin at 5:00 p.m. Plan to enjoy dinner at Williams’ Tavern from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Tickets cost $ 10.00 for adults and $ 6.00 for children (6 to 12 years old) plus tax. Start your own Christmas tradition by traveling to Arkansas’ first Historic State Park, just 8 miles off the I30 from Hope Arkansas. About Washington State Historic Park

Historic Washington State Park, located in Washington, Ark., Is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Monday. The park is a restoration village that interprets historic 19th-century Arkansas. Daily tours are organized to over 15 historic sites and museums, such as the BW Edwards Arms Museum and The Forge.

Relax and enjoy your stay at the Historic Washington Jailhouse Bed & Breakfast and savor a Southern-cooked meal for lunch at the Williams’ Tavern Restaurant. The 1914 School Dormitory for group rentals is also available on-site, as is the historic Brunson House from 1860 and the WPA Gym from 1940 for weddings and meeting space for groups of all sizes.
