The Oak Ridge Civic Music Association Chamber Music Series presents the Cumberland Piano Trio at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at First United Methodist Church, 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

The trio will present a pre-concert conference from 7 p.m. The pre-concert conference is free with ticket purchase. Tickets cost $25 for adults; young adults (19-29) $10; youth 18 and under free. Tickets and additional information are available at https://orcma.org/cumberlandpianotrio.

This is a postponed concert. Current ticket holders for the original February concert date who are unable to attend the new March concert date may contact the ORCMA office for information on ticket exchanges, conversions in donations or refunds. Call (865) 483-5569 or email [email protected].

The Cumberland Piano Trio includes Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra principal pianist Emi Kagawa, concertmaster Karen Kartal and music director Dan Allcott on cello, according to an ORCMA press release. The program remains as previously announced with music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Clara Schumann and Arthur Foote.

“The Cumberland Piano Trio is an East Tennessee area favorite, and their musical selections are always a delight,” Chamber Music Series president Bill Schwenterly said in the release.

All ORCMA subscription concerts include music by at least one composer or arranger from an underrepresented group – especially composers of color and women. Donations in support of ORCMA’s diverse programming are greatly appreciated, the statement said.

Support for the Chamber Music Series is generously provided by the Tom & Effie Carlson Estate, the Feldman Family, Korsmeyer Endowment & Consulting, Spectra Tech Inc. and individual donors.

ORCMA is grateful for the support provided through advertisements, sponsorships, individual donations, grants, bequests and corporate funding. Funding and corporate support for the 2021-2022 ORCMA season is generously provided by UT-Battelle/Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Spectra Tech Inc., First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oak Ridge, Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club Foundation, Oak Ridge Fund for Achieving Community Excellence, Tennessee Arts Commission & TN Specialty Plates, National Endowment for the Arts, Oak Ridge Public Library, ORICL, Klabunde Trust, and many generous donors.
