Endwell United Methodist Church hosts seminar to help community heal
WBNG (ENDWELL) — On Tuesday, The United Methodist Church of Endwell opened its doors to all residents to participate in a seminar they will be hosting to help the community, titled Suicide: Resources, Prevention and Grieving.
The church said it invites everyone to participate in this suicide conversation panel, which will be free and open to the community in light of recent tragedies because it is important for them to do something for the community. during this difficult time.
“This is a community event that community professionals and people from the community are more than welcome to attend online or in person. I think it’s important to be the community that makes sure to spread the message that you are never alone and that there are resources and help available. Says the Reverend Mark Kimpland.
He said it’s important for the community to know that the church is there for them at all times, no matter what they believe in.
“It’s okay not to be well, and we want to let you know that’s not a Presbyterian thing or a Methodist thing. This is a southern level affair and we want you to come, if you can, however you can,” Reverend Rachel Helgeson said.
She said the event is open to residents to visit in person or watch on Youtube.
