Haivision Connect Introduces Video On Demand Streaming for Houses of Worship
In addition to live streaming, the Haivision Connect cloud platform now allows churches to easily post video-on-demand content to websites, apps and social media.
MONTREAL, May 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Haivision Systems Inc. (“Haivision”) (TSX: HAI), a leading provider of mission-critical video streaming and real-time networking solutions, today announced major new features for Haivision Connect which makes it easier for churches to share on-demand videos with the public anywhere and anytime.
Haivision Login with video on demand (VOD) gives viewers the freedom to watch services and other types of church content at their convenience, making it easy for churches to reach their existing and new audiences. Video clips may be posted on social media platforms to promote church outreach, and previously broadcast live events may be posted on the church’s website. This feature is an added benefit for congregants who missed a live service, for those wishing to rewatch a service, and for those looking for a new church to join.
“Connecting with viewers who are unable to attend our services or watch live online is a priority for our ministry as it allows us to get our message out to those who truly rely on us, wherever they may be,” said Jonathan Garcia, Technical Director of Production, King Jesus International Ministry. “The Haivision Connect live and on-demand streaming platform is the perfect tool that gives our audience more choices and more ways to watch.”
Designed in close collaboration with major ministries, Haivision Connect also allows church leaders and volunteers to easily create, upload and publish videos on demand from a web browser. With just a few clicks, a Haivision Connect user can share video content, such as a recording from a previously owned service, to web video players, mobile apps, OTT services and social media platforms, including YouTube and Facebook, all at once.
The Haivision Connect Smart Encoding feature automatically generates the different video resolutions and bitrates required by each publishing platform. This feature streamlines the content preparation process and eliminates potential errors as it requires only one file to be uploaded to Haivision Connect for all the different web, mobile and social media platforms used.
With Haivision Connect, users can easily create playlists to group content based on video type or target audiences. Reading lists can be used to group together types of services, specific pastors, campus locations, or different languages. Video on demand stored with the Haivision Connect cloud platform can be augmented to include searchable metadata, making it easy for viewers to find the content they want to watch.
“Haivision Connect has been carefully designed for government departments to make it easier for them to stream their services live. We have now applied the same ease of use to our new video-on-demand workflow,” said Daniel Alexander, Director of Product Management, Haivision. “Video on demand with Haivision Connect allows churches to reach their current community and new guests anywhere, anytime, allowing them to connect deeper with their online congregation and extend their reach.
Haivision Connect uses the same highly reliable, pristine video technology trusted by thousands of major television broadcasters, businesses and government agencies for their critical video applications. Backed by dedicated and experienced support experts available 24/7, Haivision Connect allows users to stream with confidence.
