Joy Keifer Obituary – Time Record

Joy Keifer

Joy Ann Keifer, 94, of Fort Smith, died with family by her side, June 7, 2022. She was born August 27, 1927 in Greenwood, AR to the late Joseph Carl Bassett and Esper (Boyd) Bassett. Joy attended First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Pacesetters, UMW and Uplifters Sunday School Class.

She was predeceased by her brother, Carl Douglas Bassett, and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jimenez.

She is survived by her son, Gary Keifer and his wife Tracy of Fort Smith; his sister, Patsy Perryman of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Josh Keifer and his wife Jennifer and Sarah Jimenez and her husband Alex; four great-grandchildren, Noah and Mason Keifer and Madelyn and Anthony Jimenez.

The private family interment of the cremains will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church Columbarium and a visitation will follow in the Narthex Church for family and friends.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
