Lynn H. “Mickey” Lloyd

November 19, 1937 –
October 4, 2021

Lynn H. “Mickey” Lloyd, 83, of Cumberland, formerly of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Glen Burnie, passed away on Monday October 4, 2021 at the Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born November 19, 1937 in Rock Island, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Harriet (Freeburg) Hollingsead.
Ms. Lloyd received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Towson State University.
She had been an English teacher and media specialist for Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
It belonged to Holy Cross United Methodist Church and previously to Calvary United Methodist Church and Asbury United Methodist Church, Severna Park.
Ms. Lloyd was also a member of the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association and the Red Hat Society.
In her spare time, Lynn enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making sweaters for family and friends.
She was also a seamstress and made reenactment costumes.
Survivors include her daughters, Suellen Jeffress and her husband, Walton and Jayne Lechliter; son-in-law, Richard Lechliter; granddaughters, Hannah Carman and husband, Jon, and Lydia Lewis and husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Heidi Carman, Shiloh Lewis and Garrett Lewis; and two sisters, Storme Rose and Shirley Edwards.
Visitations will be held at Upchurch, PA, Cumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brent Wiles officiating.
