TC Williams wraps up comeback to win the school’s first state volleyball championship – âFor a while, Milan Rex, second year student at TC Williams, was scared. The Titans trailed Kellam two sets to one in the Virginia Class 6 Championship on Friday in Alexandria, and the odds of a perfect season seemed to be fading. Coach AJ DeSain reminded the Titans they belonged right now, allowing Rex to lock in. Mayor Wilson defends the donation of the President of the Planning Commission – âThe Chairman of the Planning Commission, Nathan Macek, made a donation to Wilson the day after Wilson voted with the majority of the board to return Macek to his post. Macek’s employer, engineering firm WSP, has been instrumental in many large projects in Alexandria, including the Potomac Yard metro under construction. [Alex Times]
