Prime Minister Scott Morrison says church conference social media used by evil

âI’ve been in evacuation centers where people thought I was just hugging someone and praying, and I put my hands on people⦠laying my hands on them and praying in various situations,â he said in reference to a recent visit to Kalbarri in the Pilbara after Cyclone Seroja.
Mr Morrison was pictured raising his hand at a church service in the 2019 election and has spoken openly about his Pentecostal faith and the impact it has had on his life. He also said, “I have always believed in miracles” on the night of his victory for the underdog in this campaign.

In the video, Mr. Morrison said he came to the conference to enlist the help of Christian leaders.
âI can’t save the world, we both believe in someone who can,â he said. âWhat you do and what you bring to the life and faith of our country is what it needs.
âIt’s so important that we continue to reach out and let every Australian know that they are important, that they are important.
âBecause we believe they are created in the image of God.

“Understanding that they can take a trip, I’m confident you can take them on it and I’m counting on you to do that because it’s not my job – it’s yours.”
He also said that “identity politics” caused people to lose their connection to each other and were instead defined by “boring tribes”.
âIt’s corrosive, it’s absolutely corrosive and I think it undermines the community and I think it undermines the self-esteem of Australians,â he said.
A spokesperson for the prime minister said in a statement that Mr Morrison attended the event because he organized many other religious events.
“The Prime Minister was invited to address Tuesday night’s event in the same way he attends many other stakeholder events, including for other religious groups such as Copts, Maronites , Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims, “the statement said. “The usual transport and security protocols were followed as with any event the Prime Minister attends.”

In the video, Mr Morrison revealed he asked God for a sign during a tough 2019 election campaign run, before unexpectedly visiting the Ken Duncan Gallery on NSW’s central coast and receive a reminder of a Bible verse from Isaiah 40:31.
âI have to admit I was like, ‘You know Lord, where are you, where are you? I would like a reminder if it’s OK, âMorrison said.
“I had no idea this was supposed to be Ken’s gallery … and right there in front of me was the biggest image of a soaring eagle I could imagine and sure enough the verse hit me.”
âThe message I got that day was, ‘Scott you have to Classes in order not to get bored, you must market in order not to faint, you must spread your wings like an eagle to soar like an eagle â.
Mr Morrison convinced religious voters in the 2019 election, but The Sydney Morning Herald and AgeLast week, Resolve Political Monitor revealed that these voters are moving away from the Coalition.
